Patagonia continues to lead

Last year Patagonia, a certified B-corp, named the earth as its only shareholder.

This year, the company has introduced a new jacket that is made from plastic diverted from the ocean, made possible by a partnership with Bionic. Bionic has its own recovery and recycling plant that changes plastic collected from beaches into fibers that can be used in clothing.

In addition, a second partnership with Gore-Tex resulted in a PFC-free coating to help with water and wind-proofing.

This is a collaboration that will hopefully not only inspire other innovations in clothing but also the formation of new partnerships to help fight climate change.
