Seeing progress in climate solutions

We hear a lot of the negative impacts of climate change - rising sea levels, decreasing biodiversity and more intense storms to name a few.

This can feel overwhelming and disheartening and can cause us to lose hope that things will change.

It is important to take a moment to remember that progress is being made. This article reminds us that:

  • Just three years ago, 4% of cars sold were EVs. In 2023, it was 20%.
  • Solar and wind power plants are cheaper to build than fossil fuel plants.
  • More electricity was produced by wind vs natural gas last year in the European Union.

Progress can create hope. Jane Goodall, in her The Book of Hope, talks about the power of hope. "Hope is the silent whisper that reminds us to keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the journey may seem."
