Milan's Zero Waste

Milan, Italy is the first major city to enforce a citywide food waste policy. It recovers about 350 kilograms of food per day—equivalent to 260,000 meals.

Produce is collected from supermarkets and made available to people who need food through Food Waste Hubs.

The entire operation relies on local banks, charities, universities, NGOs, and private organizations.

Working together, they are making an impact. 🙂

You can make an impact by sharing this with someone that needs some positive climate change news. It doesn’t take many people to change a system.

Take it a step further by finding a group of inspired friends and starting a campaign to do something similar in your city.
