Fusion takes one big step forward

The sun is powered by nuclear fusion.

Now nuclear fusion is having a big moment here on earth. For the first time in a controlled experiment, a net energy gain was achieved, meaning more energy was released than was used to generate the reaction.

And no greenhouse gasses are created in the process.

There is a lot more research and development work to be done before fusion can be viable as a clean energy source.

But this step is an important one on the journey toward cleaner energy.

In the meantime, consider the source of your energy. Are there cleaner alternatives available?
