Finding solutions to greenhouse gas emissions from food

Our food production and systems are contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, in similar amounts as electricity production and industry.

Given its significant contribution, it is important to look at how we produce our food to find solutions to reduce its impact on climate change. Project Drawdown, a leading resource for science based solutions,  recently launched a new program called Drawdown Food to focus just on this need.

They presented a webinar last month entitled ‘Food matters: Why climate change may hinge on what we eat and how we grow it’ and the recording is available to watch here.
