Books to bring you closer to nature

Looking for a new read that connects you to nature?

The Banff Mountain Book Competition reviews and selects books in seven categories, one of which is Environmental Literature. In this category you’ll find books that “pertain to the environment, specifically related to flora, wildlife, conservation and climate change.”

This year’s winner was just announced and it is Black Bear: A Story of Siblinghood and Survival by Trina Moyles.

The other finalists include: The Glorians: Visitations from the Holy Ordinary by Terry Tempest Williams, Roam: Wild Animals and the Race to Repair Our Fractured World by Hillary Rosner, Understory: An Ecologist’s Memoir of Loss and Hope by Kevin Van Tighem and When the Forest Breathes: Renewal and Resilience in the Natural World by Suzanne Simard.

Happy reading!
