What do people think about climate change where you live?

The headline of Dr. Katharine Hayhoe’s latest newsletter tells us how the world feels - “The world wants climate action.” This is based on a survey carried out by the UN Development Programme in 2024 which asked 73,000 people in 77 different countries about their thoughts on climate change.

The survey found “that 80 percent of respondents want their governments to do more to act on climate change. 72 percent said they want a swift transition away from fossil fuels. And 56 percent of those surveyed said they think about climate change ‘daily or weekly.’”
