In Australia, more than half of young people listed the environment as one of the most important issues facing the country.
These results are from the 2022 Mission Australia Youth Survey, which had responses from over 18,000 people aged 15-19, making it the largest survey of its kind.
Meanwhile in Canada, a group supported by the Youth Climate Corps in British Columbia, sent job applications to the federal government for jobs that don’t yet exist to send elected officials a message. The message that “young people want green jobs, and those jobs could help Canada meet its climate commitments.”
How are youth in your community responding to climate change? Is there anything you can do to lend your support?
