There's gold in that there phone!

Did you know that underground mines contain aroung 8 to 10 grams of gold per metric ton (2,200 pounds) while e-waste can have over 10x that amount, ranging between 100-200 grams per ton.

Recycling e-waste can have a large carbon footprint but a new process has been developed by Camston Wrather. Their process uses much less energy (90% less) and less water than traditional recycling methods.

This innovation is a step in the right direction because e-waste isn't a small problem as the average US household has over 20 electronic devices thanks to TVs, computers, tablets, smartphones and watches.
