The carbon inventory project

In the United States, the cultural sector is coming together for the first time to help understand their carbon footprint.

The New England Museum Association, New Buildings Institute, and Environment & Culture Partners have established the The Carbon Inventory Project (CIP).  The goal is to better understand the sector's carbon footprint and they plan to share the results on June 16.

The deadline for organizations to submit their information is April 30th.  Further details can be found at The Carbon Inventory Project.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Modern Art, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and Children’s Museum of Illinois have already signed up.

Please consider sharing this with your favorite museum so they can participate.
