Saving lives - today and tomorrow

Did you know that efforts to curtail climate change - like reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by switching to renewable energy rather than fossil fuels - will not only save lives in the future but improve things for the world’s people today? For example, as we use less fossil fuels, “we also reduce the deadly air pollution that contributes to nearly 7 million deaths each year worldwide – more than war, terrorism, malaria, HIV, and alcohol and drug use combined.”

If you have people in your life that are unconvinced about the future (and present!) threats associated with climate change try sharing this email with them. Perhaps it will be an opportunity to start a conversation.
