Let Google robots sort your trash with AI

Recycling is a hopeful concept, but most of what we discard is not properly sorted for recycling or recycled at all.

Often recyclable items are disposed of in mixed-used trash receptacles, never to live a functional new life. Other items are accidentally put in the wrong bins, also preventing reprocessing.

Enter Robotics at Google and Everyday Robots – where artificial intelligence is being used to train robots to appropriately sort recyclable trash.

Between 2021-2022 real-world recycling robot deployments reduced waste bin contamination by up to 50%.

If toddler robots can do this work, think of what they will be able to accomplish when they hit Kindergarten.
