How Clean Is The Electricity In Your Country?

81% of the world’s energy is still mainly from fossil fuels*. But this is the worldwide average, what is the data per country?

Queensland (Australia) emits much more carbon per capita than Québec. In regions like Middle Norway 100% of electricity comes from renewable sources (wind and hydro in their case).

Canada, North Europe and Uruguay are currently leading the way in low carbon emissions per person, while Indonesia, Poland and some regions in Australia and India are at the bottom.

You may check this data in the electricity map.

If you live in the US, data for all states is available here.
