From time to time, we invite our partners to contribute a guest post as part of our effort to show how organizations taking action on the climate emergency can inspire others to do so as well.
The Climate Council of Greater Kansas City was formed as a response to an astounding need, a “together-based” approach to solving the climate crisis. We focus on climate partners in the Kansas City region working on the front lines of the climate crisis.
Taking a hint from the work of bees, we connect them via a cross-pollinating "partner liaison" to resources, emotional support, and one another. We are passionate about community and believe others can follow suit in buzzing to support those out in the field. Our EarthDay events is a celebration of this passion and support.
Our passion for community based approaches to help our planet led us to become proud partners of the Carbon Almanac and three contributors from TCA were featured on our recent Climate Hour podcast where we discussed international collaboration and starting where you are.
You're invited to join the host, Bob Grove, and his guests from the Carbon Almanac:
- Cathryn Barnard, co-director of Working the Future (London, UK)
- Saurabh Mithal, founder of Passionately Curious (Bangalore, India)
- Anna Smith, Pubic Health Professional (Iquitos, Peru)
We hope you enjoy this episode of the Climate Hour podcast or vodcast episode.
