According to 8 Billion Trees, an area of forest equivalent to the size of Scotland combined is lost every year. We’re clearcutting the forests just as we encounter growing evidence that forests are among the best solutions against climate change.
Forests are communities. Human actions are destroying these tree communities.
We need community actions to conserve and restore them.
Today we want to say thank you to the 8 Billion Trees community. The people directly involved, the members that support them, and all their partners and organizations who contribute to make the conservation and planting of trees a reality for all of us.
Let them know we appreciate their efforts by thanking them on social media. Your post could sound something like this:
Thanks for showing us that deforestation is one of the sources of the problem and planting trees can be done by anyone to offset our carbon prints. Moreover, to offer us solutions to be Carbon+ citizens. Your friends at the Carbon Almanac Network are pleased to applaud remarkable projects like yours. #factsconnectionaction #thecarbonalmanac
