Eco-conscious Pledge And A Shark Sanctuary

The tiny island of Palau is working to become the first carbon neutral tourist destination. They require all tourists sign the Palau Pledge–promising they will act in an ecologically responsible way. Upon departure, visitors are given the opportunity to offset their vacation’s carbon footprint.

And in 2009, Palau created the world’s first shark sanctuary.

The Lonely Planet chose Palau as a Best In Travel of 2021. Watch the video here.

Travel lightly; support places committed to our planet.
