Dealing with uncertainty

If you struggle with the way that climate change makes you feel, you are not alone. It’s also likely that a big part of the reason you feel confused and sad and angry and a range of other emotions all at once is because of uncertainty.

Not uncertainty about the veracity of climate change but rather uncertainty about what the future holds, how bad it is going to be, how you and all those you love will be affected and so on. But as much as we want to believe in magic we know that no amount of worrying or ruminating on something is going to change the outcome; so we need to learn how to deal better with uncertainty.

Thankfully there are lots of good resources available and the folks at NPR have put together one of their great LifeKit episodes on the topic - it’s an 18 minute listen or read the accompanying article.

Hopefully some advice will resonate and you now have tips to help. Please share it with a friend or family member who will find it helpful.
