You want to do more to help the environment and future generations, but you’re busy. So, convenience wins.
You don’t have time to research sustainable companies and products and to decide what choices are the better ones. And even when you know, you often go with what’s right in front of you, because you just don’t have time to do it differently.
It’s a guilty rut. Here’s an idea to help you get out of it. Share the burden.
Here are two ideas:
- Tell your financial planner you want to shift your assets to more sustainable funds (which can perform at least as well if not better than non-ESG portfolios).
- Switch to hiring cleaners who use sustainable cleaning and laundry products so you don’t have to think about it.
Whatever you choose to do, talk about it. Normalizing this behavior is the multiplier that truly pays off.
You’ll be helping the environment, voting with your wallet, and not having to do all that work alone.
