Climate Impact Of Your Food

Did you know it’s possible to calculate the climate impact of your food? We’ve been told that switching to a plant-based diet reduces carbon (source). But, other dietary changes can help the climate too. If you’re wondering where to start, and how much climate impact you can really have, check out this simple graphic calculator.

For example, switching one to two servings of beef for chicken each week, will save 499kg (1100 lbs) of greenhouse gas emissions per year. That’s equivalent to driving a gas-powered car 2,044 km (1,270 miles).

We don’t talk about this enough. One family won’t make a big difference, but if you can share these ideas, it adds up.
