Large scale change sounds difficult and far in the future.
Until systemic change is put in place – sometimes overnight.
- Slavery is abolished.
- Child labor laws become stricter.
- The Berlin Wall comes down.
- 34 new countries have formed in the last 40 years.
- New money is invented and becomes a national standard.
You can probably think of many more changes on a national or international level that were deemed impossible until they happened.
These changes make headlines and seem surprising to all except those who were speaking up and acting out for the years before the headline. Those who asked their local leaders to change. Those who talked to their neighbors about necessary change. Those who protested for change.
The same is true for climate change. The effort needs to be large, systemic and global. Many people think it’s impossible.
The Daily Difference reminds you that you are not the only voice speaking up for change. Every letter you write, petition you sign, request you make of a local business matters.
It’s not too late, but you can’t do it alone. Share this email with a friend. Ask them to subscribe and also share it with a friend. That’s how change happens.
