Biking is a healthy choice, both for you and for the environment. It’s a good way to get around, especially if where you live has lots of bike paths.
In Lidzbark Warminski, Poland, a company has taken eco-friendly biking a step further. This company has designed a prototype path that is completely solar powered. Phosphor, a synthetic material, is added to the surface of the bike path, making the path glow in the dark. After charging with the sun during the day, the path can light up for 10 hours during the night before repeating this cycle again the next day.
While still a concept, this innovation is a creative way of making alternative methods of transportation more accessible during darker hours and generally more sustainable.
