A cost to convenience

The convenience of the pods we use for dishwashers and washing machines reduces the need to measure the detergent and avoids messes.

However, rather than biodegrading, the plastic film that encases the pods is breaking down into little pieces - microplastics - and is entering our water streams.

Water that we depend on to be healthy.

Perhaps we need to return to when detergent wasn’t individually plastic wrapped.

It is less convenient but less plastic is healthier for our environment.
